Yes amazing engine, very easy to tune, and a ton of power. Make sure you get steel spur gears because I've gone through 4 plastic ones on my Mammoth ST. I recommend this engine to anyone. XTM makes great engines, very reliable, and just as much power as a picco, novarossi, and grp. If it has too much power for you than i recommend the XTM 24.7. I love XTM Racing, they are my favorite company, and with the right steering servos, and a steel spur gear for that 457 pro youll finish in :first_place: noooo problem! Like I already said I recommend XTM products to anybody except the Mammoth ST unless it has a roll cage or dadders/rc visions chassis brace otherwise the chassis on that particular truck will flex under all of that power since it is actually a 1/7 scale truggy. I hope this helps, with that 457 for the $160 it costs....totally worth it 100%

Also I encourage buying only one brand and type of glow plug for XTM engines because others are too long and will bang against the piston

Don't worry about the spurs, the mammoth setup is prone to failure. I had one. It's setup stunk (very flexible chassis) and I switched to a center diff, then the problem went away.

I've run plastic spurs on my aftershock/lst for years without an issue. I run an LRP28S3 in mine.

The XTM 457 is made by SH engines, who also make the LRP Z28. It is almost identical to the LRP .28. The parts will interchange as a matter of fact. Good mill.

Yes the chassis flex on the mammy is terrible, and without a brace from dadders or a roll cage the mammy is a waste, but I still love my mammy. Since I already race a truggy class, putting a center diff on the mammy would be pretty much worthless so what I'm doing with it is buying an XTM XT2 Race edition and putting the engine and servos from the mammy into the XT2 can't wait. Ill have it in 6 weeks at most.

They still sell the XT2 Race Edition? I saw it a while back, one hell of a bargain for everything you get. I came close to buying one myself, but they disappeared.

i have found that the traxxas 3232x holds up good enough. be sure it has the x on it

No its been discontinued but I know someone who is selling them for 300 each until the price goes up that is. I think he said he has four of them, but I dont want too many people to know about it because I have to wait a month or so for the money to get it. But its one hell of a bargain for an amazing buggy. For $300 you can't go wrong
