Has anyone owned an XTM .18? The advertisement for this engine seems convincing that it is a good engine. Just want some feedback before I spent $100.00 I am going to put it in my TC3 any heads up other than the rear exhaust.... I think that i can make it work.

Awesome mills. Great power, great tuneability. longevity.

Did I mention the customer service TOP NOTCH!

SorryI'm all over it. It's just so rare to find the combination of a good product, and a good company. I promised myself to really spread the word when I found a company that has both. XTM with the .18 is it

Hey Lykan, I've heard so many good things about their Customer Service that I'd buy their engines for that alone.

BTW what's wrong with the internals? I took mine apart for general inspection/cleaning (my boy needed to vent some energy). Looked to me it wqas all pretty good, let me see if I can dig up my pics--gah can't find 'em

Some of you might remember when I did this I took some internal pics and posted them. I was impressed with the porting design, the knife edged con rod, and the good size hole for crank/con rod lube..

Let me know what you don;t like about the guts.. maybe i'll fix it next time i go in ;)

Hey guys,

I was extermely unimpressed with the quality of their Conrods for the most part.

Conrod and especially the Cranshaft. Even Traxxas has cranks with grossly better quality and design. I wouldn't rule out XTM though.

Hrmm they could have made a revision, mine was knife edged I liked it. Then again I don't know a whole lot about internals

Thanks for the feedback looks like for the money it is the best buy. I'll give it a try and keep you posted

ya dude its pretty nasty, my buddy runs it in his x-cellerator and it has sum pretty sweet kick, and one day he was popping wheelies, i i wondered why x-c came with such aweseome tires, and I'm pretty sure its because that engine has so much power any other tire with not as much traction would get any grip and would be bald in a day, lemme tell you its a powerhouse alright

Can any of you guys compare the xtm .18 to the wasp .18? I'm still trying to decide which I will get between the two.
