I searched around and didn't find too many using this radio.
I was just wondering for those who do use it, what are your thoughts in radio performance compared to what you had before?

Another question I have is....are you using multiple cars with this JR radio, which receiever can you use in each car?

I am thinking of buy this radio.

BTY....since this is a synthesized radio giving the ability to dial into any channel, if you have a FM receiver using crystals on a seperate car, would you be able to dial into that crystal frequency on the radio to control that nonsynthesized car??

My brother uses that radio and I use the one before it, XS3 (the black one). Only differences between the two are the Steering master (the old one doesn't have it), 10 model memory for the Pro and 6 for the XS3, the Pro version comes with the updated receiver (rs310) which is smaller and more durable.

When I tried his radio, other than the features I stated above and the neoprene grip (removable), there are no immediate differences. I like both. Very good range and control as well as good balance and comfortable weight.

I use this radio for 3 onroad cars. I love it. Also, a few other people use it where we race indoor carpet. It's so convenient being able to change your channel if there is a conflict in frequencies.

now you say you use it for 3 cars, did youhave to get all new receivers for each car, if so, which one's work with that radio?
Would that radio work with a nonsynthesized receiver that uses crystals where you tune the radio to the crystal frequency?

diver and i never had a chance to use crystal modulated recievers with the JRXS3 pro. we converted from futaba transmitters to JR for the sole purpose of having a synthesized radio setup. one thing i dislike about the radio is the battery draw.

if money is not an issue, i would get a KO Propo EX-10 Helios. the new spektrum modules will be compatable with this radio setup. it has a more ergonomic feel and there are more features to play with.

I wonder if that new spektrum channel searching module will work with my current Futaba 3PM ??

Who makes the KO Propo EX-10 Helios

Yes, I bought 2 more synthesized receivers for the other 2 cars ... 1 RS310 and 1 RS300. Both of these rx's are from JR Racing.

As sl0eg1n said, we converted for the use of being able to change frequencies since we do a lot of organized racing. Having a synthesized radio work on a receiver that uses a crystal is defeating the purpose.

The radio he suggested are very good radio as well, just not synthesized. A KO Propo EX10-Helios is made by KO Propo. I have no experience with this radio but the other guys we race with love it.

Only reason I asked if a snythesized radio would work with a crystal receiver if tuned into the crystal frequency is because I have 7 nitros and buying 6 more synthesized receivers would be pretty expensive if ya know what I mean.

I know what you mean. $79 a pop is expensive. But also convenient, even when just running at the park. For us, it was more of a necessity since we race competatively with both indoor electrics as well as Nitro.

For me, every new r/c from this point on, will also include a new reciever purchase. It's hard to upgrade every old receiver to be used on the synthesized tx, but the convenience when needed, will out weigh the cost.

As far as being able to use the tx unit on the rx with the crystal, I really don't know. I've never tried it.

well if ya got someone near ya with an R/C thats not sythesized, just tune into his crystal number considering it's FM and on the same Mhz and see if you can control his R/C

I am just really curiouse if that would work as I don't know anyone who uses synthesized for me to test it out myself

yes you can just tune into a crystal receiver with the radio. I have the radio and use it to control three cars two sys. and one crystal.

Hello Guys

Some radios have A.B.S function .What are the advantages or disadvantages of A.B.S in RC cars?
