Ran my XRT the other night on my road and it started making a horrible clicking/grinding noise. I “lost” rear wheel drive but still had front so I assumed center or rear differential was gone. 2.5 hours later last night pulling my rear differential and center differential out of my XRT to inspect them I found everything was all good. I started putting it back together and as I was done and putting the wheel back on I realized the hub hex and rim was completely stripped and rounded off. Long story short 2.5 hours of wrenching for what could’ve been a 10min fix had I noticed the wheel hex at the start🤦‍♂️ but it’s fixed and looking good!
(I really love the badlands but the rims are JUNK)

I'd ditch those plastic hex's on the hub for aluminum.
I did! The shiny pic of my hub is the new aluminum wheel hub hex. No point in going back to plastic especially for that specific piece.
