RC Driving Style
going to my local Radio shack to get some stuff I came across these XMODS from Super Street... they are pretty cool... reasonable price too... great for holiday gift giving.. I am not one to buy R/C's from Radio Shack but I was very impress with these.. you can actually change them around
different motors
different gearing
optional 4WD
optional lighting
different wheels
tires
body kits

check them out... www.xmodsrc.com

I've got one for myself and another for my lil sister...

I got the Skyline and Supra... and you know my Air brush is gonna kit it with the custom paint job

nice, i just got the skyline, amazing fun, the only upgrade i got was the batterys. After driving it around my house for awhile, I'm ready to go spend a hundred on all the motors and stuff.

Hey Rice, is it quick? Handle good?
I saw those a few days ago and I was really suprised at the amount of replacement/upgrade parts support from a Radio Shack RC. Not to mention $49 for a pretty nice starter kit.

And it comes with a hard case doesn't it?

its amazing, its really fast, 15 mph right out o the box, well worth the $50. its upgrades are gonna be awesome and ill bet we could mod it to fit some of the new mini-z parts. I've crashed about a million times and nothings broke except the rearview mirrors. it handles good, maybe a two foot turning radius. definitely get the battery upgrade, they charge in about a half hour and last for about an hour. There is a hard case and some extra screws and stuff included. My opinion is go to radio shack right now and pick one up, well worth it.

I'm seriously looking to get a Skyline and the four wheel drive kit. It's probably a bit much to ask from a Radio Shaqck RC, but does it have proportional controls?

Either way, it should be fun, especially with a cowardly golden retriever puppy, and new laminate flooring. Ever seen a puppy skate? =devil

HAHAHA I've got 3 dogs I'll run chase them around with the T3 every now and then LOL. Their backend will slide out and smack the wall, and then they'll get pissed and go after the T3, and that's when it's time to pack it up!

so far I am pleased with it.... worth the $50.... I am glad I didn't spend $160 as well... good for indoor use on those cold days or get drun with your friends and set up a small race track on your pool table... 4wd up grade is pretty good.. better handling but slows your top speed .. but who cares ... they are mini and $50... impress with the control features as well... it's not a Radio Shack item.. just only sold @ Radio Shack stores... that's why it soo good..

my friend got one and it will keep up with my stock 6 cell mini-t or i should say allmost keep up

Xmod or Mini Z depends on what you want to do with it. A lot of the people trying to break land speed records with their Xmods have had problems with the dog bone cups deforming. These are people who have been putting the hottest motors they can find in the cars, modifying them for five to six cell operation, some even going so far as to upgrade FETs in the ESC.

Supposedly Rat Shack will be switching over to metal cups in the Xmod drive line, but with all the rumors going around the Xmod community, I'll believe it when I see it.

I wanted something I could get a little at a time as I could afford it, and I really liked the idea of making it four wheel drive. I wanted to see how well I could tune the handling. I also like the full independent suspension, over the Mini-Z's H block rear end.

I've been hanging out over at the XModWorld forums. Maybe look in the galleries over there. I haven't seen any pictures of mods people have done under the hood.

The main modifications I've been hearing about are the turbo mod for the MiniZs, which I believe is a FET upgrade, and a lot of people have been using motors out of Crest Spinbrush electric toothbrushes. A few people have been using hte magnets out het Spinbrush motor, and the armature from the Xmod Stage2 motors. Someone over there is selling custom made carbon fiber driveshafts.

i am getting one for christmas(i am sure i peaked)..
is it a pistol grip control or the other kind?

Dude look how friggin hardcore these guys are, it makes me scared just looking at it

The guy with the glasses is my hero!

Pistol grip. Reversible for lefties, too. They're standard 27Mhz radios, with regular crystals. If you've got a nice hobby grade 27Mhz transmitter, you can use that too.

LOL

Yeah, they're trying to cash in the 2Fast 2Furious craze. Mine's getting no body mods, outside of a new paintjob. Don't much like yellow.

aahh run away:jet: so scary..lol cool so i could use my truck radio transmitter?iif so that cool

If it's 27Mhz, you can. All I've got are 75Mhz transmitters.
