when you convert a savage x to XL, is the width necessary? i mean can i just upgrade to length?

thanks

No, it isn't. I have an old hot bodies conversion that just extended it 1". Makes it more graceful on the jumps and in the rough stuff. Adding the width just makes it handle corners better.

Hi, if ever you do the xl conversion, can you please post a photo? Will you be using the same body cover for it? Will it still fit? I did notice that the X tends to roll more, well I'm sure most r/c will do that if we don't slow down a bit. I'm curious to know which is a better mod, extending the body or widening the wheel base? I'm pretty sure someone will say both.
