Xl-5 esc wont go into NIMH mode

Hey guys I recently upgraded my girlfriends Traxxas Stampede brushed..
With the tqi remote and receiver from my tmaxx 3.3 I got it working but now the esc will not go out of low voltage mode. I just bought her a new battery but the truck won't even go because it's stuck in low voltage. I've gone through the instructions and have completed them for how to change it back to normal mode but the light on esc just stays green it won't go red. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

put a nimh in it try to do nimh setup. also check th trim on throttle even the slightest will make esc no go into program mode

this happened to me on my brushed slash 4x4. I put in a Li PO held the set button for 10 sec than it low voltage detection turned off and went from green to red. After that I just put in a 7 cell 8.4 v battery
