o.k. guys now I'm really confused.i know all these are great buggies and other than the xb8 they have better replacements but I'm always trying to find the best deal i can kind.one of you posted a link (thanks ) for a site that has the kanai 3 for only 510.00 and this is over 200.00 less than my lhs sale price.what do you think of this buggie?is this a great price or is it that far behind the new777 version?

It all boils down to what you want to spend.
MOST of the buggies on the market in the last 2 years are going to take a pounding and come back for more. If you just entering the racing scene or looking for a good basher the there is a huge amount to choose from. If you looking for a great value rather than the latest and greatest you can spend a great deal less.

Most buggies have 80%-90% the same features. Its the last 10%-20% that you are paying the big bucks for. If they don't matter to you then you don't need to shell out the premium to get them. Look to see what your LHS has and the parts availability and go from there. In the hands of most people including myself the additional features are just for bragging rights.

hirevn, regaurdless of which one is "better", it really boils down to parts availability. I've have 3 different buggies now and it doesn't matter if you have a Kani, Mugen, xray or a PCR. You will always hang your head low when you have to packup your poop and leave the track early cause you broke a part. Get a buggy you can buy spares for. If your LHS stocks Kyosho parts, get the K3!! Seriously, regaurdless of how much money you might save initially, you'll still kick yourself if it happens to you.

I'm trying to figure out who you are, since I'm sure I raced with you already?? Ryan is stocking parts for the K cars and the Mugens, Ofna's and will be stocking parts for the XRAY!

I just got and put together my XB8 and its a bad machine.....I almost went with the Mugen but decided to be differant. Ryan is getting the XB8 too so you know parts will be there.

If you go Mugen I would get the upgraded parts from Kingheadz.com they have all the parts you need, 200 bucks for all of it...

MP777.. is cheap at www.ulitmatehobbies.com you can call them.. and they give you a better price.. i like that car alot also.. i like it alot better than my K2...

o.k. ,its done.my lhs still havent got there xrays but they had a kanai 3 that i was able to work a sweet deal on with the owner.he wasn't too happy when he saw some sites selling this kit at over 200.00 lower than his sale price but i made an offer,he countered and we struck a good price.
so I'm happy owner of a new kanai 3.
