alright this buggy is really pissin me off!! i have had nothing but problems but i want to keep it so I'm going to fix another problem. now the ball bearing is coming out of the gearbox!! and i noticed it didnt think it was a problem so i ran it a lil more and now the drive shaft just slips so its only front wheel drive! can someone tell me how to fix this!

ofna ultra lx pro and the ball bearing where thats where teh rear drive shaft comes in and connects with the pinion gear in the rear gear box

is this the bearing that sits in the front of the rear bulkhead housing? The one the driveline spins? If so on my Storm Pro it liked to back out so I put some heavy grease around the outside of the bearing than snapped it back in it's housing. You might need to get a new rear bulkhead if the bearing seating is just too sloppy. Hope I understood your problem correctly. Let me know.

its the bearing on the outer side. i guesse there is twon that hold the pinion gear in place.

it sounds like to me that your yoke the thing that holds your drive shaft is backing out push the bearing back into the diff housing and then push the yoke tight against it locktite the set screw and tighten down. that should fix your prob.....

the one on the outside is the one I am talking about. your drivecup fits right in the bearing right?

well thats the thing zandor i can't get the bearing back into its place!! i will def loctite the hex screw because all my hex screws that hold on the hex hub were coming loose and one even completely fell off.

I'm with HB and Zandor on this. Sounds like the rear diff input cup is slipping and moving forward. I'm not familiar with the Ofna buggy, but if the cup (or cvd) is installed correctly, there's nowhere for either bearing to move.

on more thing. when you put diff cup back on make sure your set screw is on the flat side of the rod...
so the bearing won't go back in is there dirt stuck in there keeping it from going back in? or is just a good tight fit..

might be dirt!!

i got the whole bearing out what should i do? clean it then grease it?

i would get a qtip to clean it out iam not a big fan of greese.in those areas it will quickley become a dirt magnet...so just clean and push it back in....i have found when doing this it is easyer to take off the hole rear asmbley...1 wing support bolt and 4 screws on the bottom....that way you can see whats going on

depends on what type bearing. If ther is no seal then go ahead and lube it. Other that that just clean it.

Everyone seems to forget.... When you buy an RTR, you must first check & locktite all your screws...lol I think Zandor hit it right on the head. That used to happen to my Ultra MBX Pro.

Remove the bearing, clean the seat in the case & pop it back in. Push the drive cup back on & tighten that set screw down with some locktite...

did u take the whole gear box apart

FIXED IT!!!!!!!!:cheerful: :cheerful: :cheerful:

i took off the whole rear end and the inside of the gearbox is accesable from there. so i pulled on teh pinion gear and the bearing went back in and then i added some more grease. but in the process i lost one of teh set screws:nono:
