A cute little dog?

I got a dog book around here some where but I can't find it for some reason :( It doesn't look like a type to get to big or visicous on ya.

Looks like my dog!
As far as we can tell, mine is a terrier Jack Rustle, Staff, Boston, Pit, maybe a mix of a few of them. There is something else in mine such as Beagle or HotDog that is seen in the legs, feet and body length. Your new pup looks a bit beefier then mine in the body. How old it it? The photos I posted are when she was 3 months old.

If you look at your dogs chest and leg spacing its got a majority of terrier but is a mix. The eyes are defined as far as being able to see the pupils as compared to mine with black eyes blue in the sunlight.

If your going to keep it, take it to the vet and get it wormed and get puppy shots. Start training now. I have found that mine is totally loyal and smart as hell. Now is the time to make good habits. Go get the book called Puppies for Dummies. Its a great one to help get you started.

Let us know what you do.

it's definately got Lab and terrier in there....careful It could grow a lil on the large side......looks cool......only lab mix I've seen that's just stupid is the pit lab mix my friend has.....nice and friendly but dumber than a rock.....

Twins seperated by Katrina?!? WTF?

Interesting, though. Do you plan to keep it? It looks healthy and alert. Might be the best dog one can ever have!

You said someone left it at your house. Do you mean they just stuck it in your yard?

yeah, i think somebody just threw it out of the car last night. happens all the time out here. i like it, but i don't know if i want to keep it. i've already got a dachsund and she needs a lot of attention. this one would make a good outside dog, though. if anybody around houston wants it let me know. if not, i guess me or my parents will keep it. i moved out of their house when i was 19 and somehow ended up buying a place right next door to them a year ago. just made a big circle so now i get to mooch their stuff just like the good old days and they get to have all my castoffs.

TS, I would help you out but I am a bit far. Nice looking dog. Would be neat to see how it turns out compared to Ed's dog. I say keep it. It was a free dog, at least. My wife is shopping, (yes, shopping) for a new dog (put Springer down 3 months ago) and so far every damn dog is over 1000. Considering I last paid 250 for a pure bred with papers Springer, that is a big jump!

get a wiener!! me and truth both have wieners.

hey wait.... didnt someone "drop off" you dashey?? what is it with you and free dogs? i had to pay 150 for my dashey registered and all.

heres my little buddy.. his name is lowjack

At least he did not say it was a miniature...

Where's the goat?

How far do you guys live apart? I only ask because you both seem to live in the outskirts of the Houston area and I am wondering why someone would drive all the way out there to ditch a dog.

mine was a rescue. she came into the warehouse at my office to die, i think. she had two bladder stones the size of my thumb and a horrible infection. i took her to the vet on the way to work and later they called me and said her bladder had BURST. so i had them do surgery right then to try to save her. cost me like 3000 bux but she's my buddy so i don't guess i regret it or anything. my little cousin named her Lowrider after my truck that i had at the time. its in the "what other hobbies" thread.

edit: we live like 5 miles apart. it's about 40 miles from houston but it's a fairly populated area for a small town so we've got all kinds of pricks here. they dump dogs out at my house all the time 'cause its a real dog friendly kind of place. between my parents and myself, we have a little over 10 acres of land and all the neighbors around us are on about 10 acres each as well.

^^^^^^I think she's trying to get out from under your foot!:ponder2:

You know I was looking at the legs/paws and they almost seem to have some resemblence of a bassett hound.
