i been looking into getting a .18 but i dont want to waste money on something that wont fit if somebody can help me out that would help alot i have a exceed rc 1/10 on road touring

check your manual for the dimensions of your engine and take a look at towerhobbies.com they have alot of engines there for around the $100 range. you might save a few bucks getting a used engine but you never know what can happen to it. could last a year or a week. i would say get a new one. unless someone has a NIB engine they can sell you. you never know. just make sure it has the same type of carb, exaust, and size and you will be alright

i found my car can hold a vx-18 is there any big difference in top speed between a vx-16 and vx-18 dont want to waste money and its not a big speed boost

The biggest difference you will see in the .16 and .18 is torque. How fast the car will get off the line. I would spend the few extra bucks and get an OS or a LRP engine. you would not be sorry....much more reliable.
