Sold / Found WTB Monster Truck Under $175

Hello! Well turns out my father likes my T-Maxx so much that he wants to get a monster truck of his own. He doesn't want to spend any more than $175 shipped. I really want to get him something that is more durable than my T-Maxx because he gets really pissed when I tell him I have to spend more money on it. Perhaps a savage or something like that. Please don't thread crap, just offers please!

Theres a guy on a auto forum here in Mn. that I go to, thats selling a HPI MT with a Os engine in it. Hes asking $175 for it. Ill add the link in a second..

it's kinda hard to find one for that cheap. the best thing I could suggest is maybe a smartech magic wheel. Its almost exactly a t-maxx by design and accepts most parts to one.

they go for about 200 new.

I could go $250 on a monster pirate w/ hyper 21 RTR(like new) shipped...comes w/ a high torque steering servo and new LST body. I know it's not $175 shipped...but like rb said...hard to find something that cheap unless maybe a roller...but by the time u add motor and radio gear...your @ $250.

Do yourself a favor (wheather u buy mine or not) spend another $50 to $75 and get something decent...otherwise you'll find your $175 truck then end up spending another $175 when u find out why it was so cheap in the 1st place!

I think your best bet is to go with a stadium truck. Pretty much the only RTR MT you can get is the magic wheel, and I dont know how that holds up. I would say to just go with a ST.

Magic wheels are garbage... Have some patience, mow a few more lawns, and get yourself a Name Brand RC truck.

As for getting a truck for your father, spend a couple more dollars and get a used Savage...

Anything used is a crap shoot, basically figure no matter what the owner says that the mill will need to be replaced. You would be best off to save a few more bucks and get a new rig. But no matter what avoid the smartech!
