well you dont need speed for a throttle/brake servo....

I just bought 4 of these btw
1) BMS-630MG - Savage Steering Servo
1) BMS-620MG - Buggy Steering Servo
2) BMS-620 - Throttle/brake Servos

As far as plastidip. It is my understanding that you take the servo horn off, dip the entire servo up to and including about 1/2inch of the wire and let dry, then cut around the exposed gear (where the horn attaches) and the attachment points (gromets) and you are good to go. I never had a "spare" servo to test this with, but I will once these new ones get here.

Ya... i have my spare crappy airtronics servo that i used for throttle that ill test on.

Thats it. I just sut the screw back in after taking the horn off so the plasti dip does not go in the hole, but it will come right out if you leave it out. Are you guys buying these servos b/c of this thread? If so I may want a discount from them for sending soo many people thier way!!!!! LOL

so how are these servos holding up?

Well, looks like I will have to put the metal gear set in, which I figures. I just wanted to see how long the plastic would hold up....not long.

You got one of their servos with plastic gears? And they broke already? I just bought 1 w/ plastic gears without knowing that they werent metal. No wonder the other 620mg's were sold out and not this 1! o well, at least i can get metal gears.

Thats what I did, they were sold out of the MG's so I just pocked up a MG set.Cost like a whole $2 more or so.

Not sure if that is the problem or not, I had the wire cut by routing it wrong,I put it by the s gear! I redid the wiring, but my solider job may not be the best. If thats not it, looks to be a partially stripped gear. I have to do a complete tear down(muddy) so i'll let ya know asap.

Yeah, they are GREAT servos for that price, and the shipping is excellent! I just got my servos today! Too bad the nimrod that i bought my gt from put the rx in the wrong way and i think the x-tal got fuel on it. Cuz it doesn't move anything now...... :(:(:(:(

Well, the rx isnt the problem... When i plug my new servo in, everything frwaks out. But when i put my 645mg and stock servo in there, everything works fine? I don't know what the problem is.... I might have gotten a faulty servo, if thats the case they'll probably take mine back and give me a metal gear 1 if i pay for shipping again.... This sucks tho...

I'm going to give my impressions in a new thread in the radio gear forum.

I've been using one for about 5 months now and have not had any problems with it...

joey, could you list what you have and what it in? If ya can put it in the Radio Gear forum, I started a thread there! Thanks.
