OK, my GF has an ancient P1 200MHz machine that she is using for email/light surfing purposes right now. It's sporting a mind-numbing 30 MB of RAM right now and I'm looking to improve on that so she can at least have some semblance of efficiency. Trust me, at this point this thing is sloooooow. She needs the old 72-pin SIMM memory and I was hoping to push her up to 128MB. It's an old off-brand motherboard but the SIMMS must go in in pairs. So I'm wondering if anyone happens to have some old SIMMs laying around that they want to offload cheap.

I think I might have like a stick or so of 32mb ram... but its my friends computer... Ill Let you know.

also make sure with the manufacturer of the motherboard that it can handle 128mb ram. It sounds like if it is SIMM 72 pin, than it is old. My older gateway computer from 99' can only handle 384mb. Sounds like your computer over 10 years old...

Just a heads up.

I might have some around....but if u want an updated system ... LMK I could probly build one for $300 - $400 and have it pretty up to date....hell....i'd even trade for RC's...but you'd really have to love her to do all that!

yea, I can build systems to. Got myself a nice 2.4 ghz 512mb DDR 128mb nvidea video card, sweet green lit case... for a bit more than $300
