WTB Looking to buy a new old stock Arrma Senton 6s

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.
Build one. Typhon chassis. Mojave 6s suspension. NEW-Mojave sliders go for about $350 on ebay. A Typhon V5 chassis is $15. Swap everything over. Horizonhobby still sells that body. And you'll need a short rear driveshaft & T2T brace.

I take it you think I over payed, and should have built one.
Which I did buy a Typhon and many of the parts, only to run into issues locating all the needed parts.
I thought I found them all, only to get some of my orders canceled due to parts discontinued and no longer available.
Either way I was always going to buy a real one soon as one turned up. This I was the first one to turn up since June and that one sold for $950.

I did head down the build my own path, but not all the parts were available anymore, so if anything was a waist of money, to me trying to go down that build my own path was the real waste of money.

Proof that there's a sucker born every minute.

On a side note.
Even though Arrma has not been willing to bring back Senton 6S.

Looks like Team Corally Shiroi 6S SC10.

I'm sure Team Corally is going to sell a crap ton of the 1/8 scale Shiroi (truggy chassis) SCTs ;) :thumbs-up:

Yea, I saw those early comparisons at least in theory , but seems it’s really an 8th not a 10th like the Senton.
I have not found any side by side comparisons with 10th scale cars , seems it may be closer in size to 4S Mojave.

There is no true 1/10 scale SCT. They are all 1/8 scale. The bodies are all roughly the same size.

It was the fact that it is clearly not mint condition and double the price of one you could have built I guess 🤷‍♂️.
These ebay sellers with their overpriced "rare" items will keep getting away with these obscene price marks because some fool out there HAS to have that car.

That may be partially true, in that true scale does not seem to exist, but an 8th Mojave body is noticeably larger then a 10th Senton, or slash, or Losi SCT. Once I get my Senton 6s I do plan to do some size comparisons with my other 10th class 8th class and 7th class trucks.

The Mojave is more a true 8th scale though. I said there are no true 1/10 scale SCT's. The wheelbases and bodies are all about the same. And if you compare a 1/10 buggy to a 1/10 SCT, the SCT is twice as big as the 1/10 buggy, and any other 1/10 RC's for that matter.

What part of all the parts to build one are no longer available are you not getting.
Building a 100% accurate Senton 6s from scratch is no longer as easy as ordering all the parts and putting it together.
I spent hours and hours trying to research and track down all the parts, and still missing several pieces that I have yet to locate.

I have more in all the parts and pieces to try and build one then I paid for a complete car, and yes I know it was used, I didn’t spot any real serious flaws, and it actually makes it a bit easier to want to use it myself vs a pristine never used version that could easily cost a grand.

Mojave slider, typhon chassis, short rear driveshaft from a typhon, short tower to tower brace. Body and cage from the senton.
Is that 5 parts total?
I literally found everything right on flea bay in about 3 minutes.

Apparently, all of it.

I guess I am more of the opinion when it comes to the value of stuff, being more tied to what people are willing to pay.

I have seen the new never used versions of this particular RC bring a grand, I have seen really rough used ones bring 400-500. I have seen customized stuff that barely has any of the original car left bring 500+ .

What I paid seemed pretty well in line with where the market is on them right now, maybe even a 100-150 under market based on its condition.

It really comes down to what people are interested in, what they can afford, availability, condition, all that sort of thing.

I am not really a buggy guy, I rarely even run anything open wheel. so I am not likely see or find much value in stuff I am not that interested in.

Basically what one guy might think is worth a mint, I may not find it worth anything to me.
I am not going to call them a fool or foolish because I know their is all sorts of stuff out their in the world I would not give 10 cents for, but it’s someone else’s passion and worth the world to them.

This car the Senton 6s is right down my alley and something I never knew existed back when they were new and readily available.
Granted back then I was still very much in my Traxxas fog, and had not ventured outside of Traxxas. Still love Traxxas, just discovering other similar products from other brands essentially paying more attention to all sorts of different brands offering similar products.
Being I enjoy the hunt, the collecting , etc side of the RC hobby, it was worth what I paid for it to me.

That’s what I meant earlier when I posted to each their own.

Not for a 6s Senton you could not have found all the parts.
There is heck of lot more then 5 parts needed.

Are you trying to build an exact replica or just something similar.
There is all sorts of ways to go about piecing together something similar.

There is lot more then 5 parts needed to build a true accurate replica of a Senton 6s.

I have the Typhon , even my plans were a bit half assed in that I would not have the correct electronics, I was planning to use the Typhons electronics.

I have the body
I have The cage which is actually a few different sections to it.
I have the rear bumper
I am not sure if I have the correct body mounts or not those are tough to find new. I have some used ones I tracked down.
I have the new correct wheels and tires.
I have the shocks
I have the shock towers

All the pieces to the front bumper for the 6s have proven pretty much impossible to find, everywhere I have looked just shows discontinued.
Nothing on eBay as far as a front bumper. I thought I found 2 of them, I ordered them both and a week later got a notice my order was canceled parts were no longer available sorry. Lol There were some other parts in that same order that escaped me what they were, but they met the same fate, sorry no longer available order canceled .

I had seen a few used roller chassis and the parts that were broken or missing were that front bumper I was hunting.
I hated to buy a whole chassis to get the front bumper but given how deep I was already I was considering it. Lol

My Senton 6S made it here this week
Looking forward to trying it out.
