I've just recived my new piston and sleeve but when I've come to fit the piston and sleve, i can turn the fly wheel smothly untill the piston hits the very top of its stroke, then the piston stops an i can rock the fly wheel back an forth a little? the fly wheel will carry on turning it i keep turning but i never had this before? what do you guys think?

Take the piston and sleeve and get a nice comfy chair and some oil (or nitro) and start working the piston into the sleeve. I don't know if the piston is too tight in the sleeve so the best thing to do is work it in with your hand for 30 minutes in a spiraling motion to the top and back down.

That's the way these engines work. Don't just wear it in by hand or you will shorten it's life. You have to run it to break it in and get it up to proper temps. After half a gallon or so, it will loosen up and run much better.

Or... I'm missing something here about what your asking.

Check the rod and crank as well. If there are lot of play and you can rock the flywheel a lot at TDC your conrod maybe worn out as well. It is not expensive compare to the engine. :)

Just so your piston can actually get to the top of the stroke and come down like it should. Not so it feels like you are running a motor with 6+ gallons through it. It is done with nitro motors and full scale racing motors.

I'm not sure about what the question actually is but it sounds like the piston wont actually go to TDC? This is his first nitro engine rebuild? If that is correct then you might have done something i have done which is have the piston in backwards there is a little spot on the piston skirt(bottom of piston) which is removed and that side needs to be on the crankshaft side other wise it wont turn all the way round on some engines anyway.Hope this helps.

silverbird02 spot on mate i had the piston in the wrong way round, turn it round put it back together and it fired up a treat! thanks very much :)
