wrecked the real thing for the RC one

Ok Here goes yesterday after work I got into my real car to go to the LHS to buy some gears because I was told by a fellow RCNT member I needed to. As I was turning rleft onto the freeway onramp a 99 silverado didn't stop and hit me head on. My baby ...94 integra sleeper sedan was munched in the front. Both airbags deployed and since I was wearing a seatbelt that saved me from being tossed around in the car.I am definitely a FIRM beleiver in the seatbelt now! I don't think I will be doing anything with my RC for a while. I got banged up and luckily all I am now is really sore from the accident. WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!

yup, i'm also a firm believer in the seatbelt. I never drive without it on, and I get really irritated when my passengers don't wear theirs.

So is your integra totalled? Cuz I know those damn pig trucks can do serious damage to our compact cars even when they're not going that fast.

No pictures yet. I have to try see if I can get it fixed!!I really need the car back! Just simple bolt ons only. I have the real engine on a hoist thank god!! I just decided to get new pistons and rings so I lucked out!

Wow. Glad to hear that you are ok. It sounds like the other guy is at fault. Maybe you can get his insurance company to pay to fix your car.

I hope so cuz I have no funds to get it done. I have full coverage anyways.. I was smart like some people. They drive without it. I got hit twice both no insurance.TO thimk I was just going to the LHS to buy parts for my little ride and now I have NO RIDE!! LOL I am alive that's all that matters now.

Glad to hear your all right.... maybe you can sue the RCNT member that told you that you need the gears...if he didn't do that you would have never went....can you say jacoby & myer's LOL....just playin....

I drive a 93 Jeep which is basically a tin box...no air bags...all i have is roll bar and seat belts....So yea seat belts will always help.

Updataed on the car and me
My car is being totalled but I might buy her back if it realy cheap and fix another sedan up like mine but better. As for me each day seems to get worse. More seems to hurt. Both my knees hurt so I can't limp on one to releive one. My back is starting to hurt, my wrists hurt and now my right bicep and tricep are sore like I got into a dead arm competition. Not really sure on the car right now but I will keep you guys posted! Thanks you guys!

Dude have you been fully checked out by a doctor. If not I would sincerely urge you to do so. I am sorry for your loss of your car. I have totalled like 2 cars in my lifetime. First one was on my very first date thank god that wasn't my fault. Other one was over a donut. Don't ask long story. Glad to hear you are ok though

newnitrofan - I am still trying to get some health insurance. Once that kicks in I will go. I may go anyway so I can get it all documented. DONUT? Did this involve an off-duty cop?

Go to the hospital and get yourself checked out. Liability insurance (needed here in NY to register a car, dunno about your state) will take care of the hospital cost. Let the auto insurance take care of the bill. That's why it's there. Most auto insurance companies have a 25K Max/incident and per person. Go and get it taken care of. If you're unsure of your auto insurance coverage,call your agent ... I'm only saying this because you said Insurance coverage is the only thing holding you back. You already have insurance for the hospital bills if you have liability insurance on your car.

Well I am looking to get another now cuz I have nothing and borrowing a car sucks. I am looking to get a used Nissan Xterra or a four door tacoma or a four door frontier. Still looking nothing in stone yet. Thanks again everyone . RCNT is the best there is!

No my accident didn't involve an off duty police officer. HEHE I was reacihing for one out of the dozen box I had and well Yeah I went up a curb took out three trees about 3 feet around by the roots and ran into a concrete light pole and kinocked it over. Yeah I was traveling pretty fast. later
