would this tank work?

Ditch the battery box, get a pack to mount under the chassis, and you will have no problems fitting that tank.

Yeah, i have that tank on my maxx and it just barely fits, but i have the extended chassis.

wil i have problems fiting that tank on the stock chassis...
(i have ditch the battery box.)

Well, i would say that it wouldnt fit, only because the spur gear is in the way of the tank sliding forward to fit. The other problem would be reaching the lsn... Even on my big block the lsn is kinda hard to reach.. i couldnt imagine anyone tuning it with the thing sitting lower..

I have pics after moving everything around to fit a tank like it on the maxx. Not sure if you want to go through all the effort, but I liked the tank I used so much on my 21 chassis maxx that I had to have it on my 2.5 chassis maxx.

Basically, move the receiver over the steering/reverse servo's. Move the throttle servo back to the stock tank place. Make a mild bracket out of metal, mount the new bracket/tank cockeyed where the receiver and throttle servo was. Drilling holes as necessary.

Some of the pics are starting points, but none the less, something for you to ponder.

Oh, I used this tank: OFNA Tank

Hew olds, how did you like those swamp dawgs? I have a set of four coming for my maxx and a set of maximizer beadlocks... I got the soft compound. Is that a fantom .18?

What is the difference for the ofna 9.5 Violator tank and the Ofna Ultra GTP/MBX 120 cc tank

5cc's I think.

I don't know. That one was the one that looked a lot like the one new era used on their tank conversion. So, instead of spending $25-$30 on the conversion, I spent $9 on the tank and $2 on the metal.

Although, this was for a 21 conversion which has an extra inch or so of room in the rear: NewEra Tank Mod

I liked them a lot, but don't run them on concrete if your jumping. Like in skate parks. They are so soft that the rim cuts through them like a knife. They were really good winter tires though. They grabbed pretty good even when it was cold.

It's an orion wasp 18 w/slide carb and side exhaust. Not a bad little engine for $80. Not the most powerful thing, but it had more spunk than my OS 15 cv-r(x) did. And it ran way more dependable than my trx 2.5 ever did. It ran kind of hot though, but it was cheap, so I didn't care. It would run 240-270 all day long and as long as you kept fuel in the tank, it ran. As soon as it flamed out though (empty tank or rollover), I had to wait until it got down around 200 to fire it up again because the fuel was boiling in the carb.

Well i just installed, and i LOVED it!! I swear, my truck ran much better with this on it i couldnt believe it!! No leaning out at all, it was hard to believe!!
