Just curios to know if anyone of you guys had electric then switched to nitro and regreted it? Reason being I had so much hassles with my first nitro that I regreted buying it. My friends were all laughing at me when I couldnt get my nitro running, making funny noises when they were riding their electrick BUT I WILL SHOW THEM ALL!

I Went from Electric to Nitro and enjoy both of them.
I'm currently getting back into electric again.

There have been some real innovations in batteries and motors.

I like the smell and sound of nitro and the consistency of electric.

If it's not nitro, it belongs in walmart.

Nitro is a real challenge. The engines and their fuel systems provide a wide range of problems to solve. I love to solve problems! I make a living solving computer problems. ;)

I've never run electric, but I can see the advantages. You don't have to run over have start your car when it stalls. Electric sounds like hardcore racing material -- all racing talent no fussing around.

I, however, will stick with my Nitro problems. :D

Nitro is much better! Electric is -like FastEddy said, Consistent-sp, but nitro is able to make huge power numbers, but not quite the torque of electric. Nitro is realistic. So much more. I've driven a couple electric onroad cars, they were fast but....i dont like how they silently go up and down the street. I must "disturb the peace" lol! :hehe: BTW: yay 400

I never really got into electric. Once I found nitro, I had to go with the gas. I love the added realism that you cannot get with electric. If you are a serious racer, I can see doing both, since a lot of races are indoors and electric.

I started out on Nitro... eventually getting severely tired of tuning and tweaking with it, so I bought an electric brick...

After dumping money into that, I just got tired of only hearing the slipper clutch.

The realism/sound/speed is just a lot more to my liking, and since I know how to tune properly now, it actually runs. :D

well i currently run both. the electric is mainly for racing in the winter

no well maybe if it would keep some battery life and had lots of performance

I like the idea of MrFatride. Here, in the winter, it flat out SUCKS! The ONLY indoor track, which is a ride from here, only allows electric carpet runners. At least it would keep you running.

Oh man, I can see it now..... more $$$$$ out the window........

well its not a big deal if you dont race but i love racing and just can't wait the summer out to get the nitro racing

Yeah, the electric was the winter car... mainly becuase I killed a motor on the logic of:

"Well, it's colder outside, so I can lean it out without worrying about it..."

riiiiiiight... did'nt work to plan.

Man I hear you guys all bummed out about winter and not being able to drive your rc, and i just kick back and smile, and remember that i live in florida!!!!

I've decided that all go and see it snow, when water freezes at 70 degrees.

So what you are saying is I should stay with nitro! It never snows here and in winter the daytime temp is about 18-20c, summer is 27-32c.

No message boards like this where i stay. LOts of LHS selling Traxxas,HPI,Academy,Losi,AE etc

In Sacramento and I think Roseville now we have indoor nitro tracks for on and off-road. One is a barn type roof with over hangs. The roof is huge could cover a football field. The also have huge fans to circulate the air. Nothing like that where you live I take it? Maybe you could put the word around that it is possible to run an idoor gas off-road track and not pass out from the fumes.   I love being a Californian! We think of everything!

Renegade I have never even seen an Acadamy do you got a link?
