I've recently inherited an AE TC3 and my plans are not racing but just messing around in the parking lot. Just something to have a lil fun with when I can't run the MGT.

Since I'm not racing I'm not wanting to get one of those aerodynamic space ship bodies, but instead I'd rather get some classic muscle car bodies. While ideally I'd much rather have a 1970 Chevelle 454 SS I can't seem to find one anywhere. What I can find though is 1968 Chevrolet Camaro and 1965 Ford Shelby GT-350 body - both from HPI.

The problem is they are for a 200mm chassis and the stock TC3 is 190mm. Would it be worth converting the TC3 to the Rally TC3 which upgrades it to 200mm and getting these bodies or does anyone know where I can get some classic bodies which will fit the 190mm chassis?

IMO it just what is it worth to you. If your just going to be bashing is it worth the bucks to convert it. Just my 2cents.

Why not? What are the actual costs to make such a conversion happen? Heck, I am making my NTC3 a drifter. That is what I want. If you ,make it a Rally or "dirt oval" I think you would still be happy.

I guess the main issue is the bodies. I'm happy with 190mm but it doesn't seem like there are as many bodies for the 190mm as there are for the 200mm. Or at least when it comes to classic body styles.

if you coud get a chevelle body I'm sure you could make it look like a 454 ls6 (I'm a huge muscle/mopar fan myself)

I've yet to find a chevelle body, but if I do you can bet I'll be buying it!

Nitrobuzzard,

I've purchased the 200mm conversion kit for the TC3 and should be here in a few days. After which I'll be ordering that body. If I can't have a chevelle body then I'll settle for a camaro body.

the 200 mm kit allows you to use 24mm/ 0 offset wheels under a 200mm body.
Conversely you could run 26mm/ 2 offset wheels on a 190 track width chassis under a 200mm body, no need to buy the kit.
I know HPI makes those classic wheels and tires, but I'm not sure of their offset.
I don't think anyone makes a chevelle...

I know that HPI makes a Chevelle body for monster trucks. You might try looking there.:hypno:

That they do make a chevell body for a monster truck, and i just saw a impalla body the other day that could be painted up pretty sweet.
