I finally purchased my rechargeable glow plug igniter(with meter) this afternoon.
(and I managed to borrow the boy's already charged battery from his igniter to put into mine) and my car fired right up with hardly any problems! It took a few pulls but it worked.

Excitement ensued.

Then as I was playing around, the front servo(the one that controls the steering) crapped out on me! (cheap plastic gears!...probably didn't help the I had a head on collision with a curb)
So I took another stroll to the hobby shop and bought a new servo, stuck it in, and ran it around the dirt track for the first time.
Happy Happy

I bring the car home, run it around some more, collide again into hard object, and the second servo (the one for the throttle) dies! Again, cheap plastic (and my novice skills in control) so now I have to go back and replace that servo as well.
I am not all that concerned, I am just glad that I was able to fire it up.

Anyhow, that is my update.

Thanks for the help!

stock servos suck, get good ones set end points and dont hi stuff you will be a happy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 spare s148 futaba servos, if you are interested in one. Will ship it to you, if you like. no charge!

Ow.... It's that word "curb" again. Understandable how you could lose your steering servo, but I've NEVER had a throttle servo go bad. You might want to make sure that your end points are not causing it to strain.

i lost a steering servo due to a curb, but not in the traditional way.

CT5 Onroad. 50 Plus MPH into a curb. hit so hard, the inertia from the sudden stop allowed the batter pack to jetison its zip holder, fly forward right into the servo horn and sheered the drive gear right off. stock CEN steering servo so plastic gears. no other damage. i was SHocked!
but your right on that one rolex. i ve not seen a thrt servo die in such a weird way.
