So today I got my sport maxx of a buddy for 30 bucks. Haha. Ya I scored. It had a broken shock mount, body post, front skid, and bulk head. I fixed most with stocker parts except for I got a traxxas aluminum rear bulk, he already had the front. I have a couple of questions though. It has the 2.5 in it that is the orginal version with the silver head, I have a 2.5R with the blue head, and the motor in it is like new, I was wondering seeing to how its the same motor, could I swap the cooling heads? Also, I'm looking for a pipe for this sucker, what is a good cheap t-maxx pipe? This is just a simple driver, and eventually be a sand drager when I get done with it so cheap is good. Thanks guys.

You can swap the heads. The original cast aluminum head is crap.
 
Thanks, Ill be doing that. But the pipe thing is in the air. I crashed on my dirt bike today and jacked it all up(and broke my foot pretty good) so buying anything else for this is done for a while. All funds goin to make the important things pretty(aka the babe mag bike lol). Anyways, 2 wheel drive monster trucks are a ball.

Ok I just droped some cash on this sucker today. I picked up the rpm skids because the stockers were junk. I'm trying to find the traxxas rear bulk heads bu no one has them, darn. So back the the pipe issue though. I'm looking at the traxxas tuned pipe. Any one have any sujestions.

Well I completed the build for the most part. The last things to do are make the body post, I have a blue hanger ready, and I'm fabricating the body post spreaders out of aluminm right now. This things sweet. I'm also runing the trx2.5r and a revo pipe. OoO ya and just to clarify, I got this sucker for 20 bucks.

It will probably be one of the funnest things for $20... Well, maybe not. But good buy. Get that wallet prepared!
 
O I have already been feeling the love this sucker is doing to my wallet. I have droped 150 into it so far and havent driven it yet lol. It already had the aluminum front bulk, so i bought the rears, beings I had to replace everything back there anyway.

Well I finnaly got tired of looking at this sucker with no bumpers or cut body on it so I decided to finish it up today. I spent about 2 hours in the garage makeing 2 bumpers, I think they turned out pretty damn good. And man are they shinny! Well heres a couple of completed pics.
