Won't Move!!!

Hey guys last night i was running my car and then all of a sudden it wont move. well the car is about 2wks old, and the motor is perfect, it runs and idles fine but the wheels wont turn with the motor i give it throttle and it revs but it wont move. No, the brakes are not dragging and they never were I'm thinking its the clutch shoes but who knows I am a newb. What do I do? how can i find out whats going on? thanks in advance

What vehicle is it? What was the last thing that happened prior to the non-moving?

it the tmaxx 2.5 nothing happened i turned it around to bring it in and after the turn it wont move and just stayed there so i had to carry it back.

Guessing it has reverse? (it comes with it stock)

I'd check your reverse linkage and make sure it's engaging properly. If it gets in-between forward and reverse, it doesn't move, just rev's up.

Or, the engine mount loosend up and slid a little and it got out of mesh with the spur gear?

well guys after tearing this whole thing apart two or three times trying to figure it out i finally found the problem, it was in the gear box one of the pins that holds the first and second gear on to the main shaft snapped in half so hence why it was revving but the wheels were not moving real easy fix once i found the problem thanks for all your guys input.

mine is doing the same thing. where exactly is that pin.

mine is doing the same thing. where exactly is that pin.

Probably depends on the trans you have. The older one has stuff in different places than the newer smaller revo style trans.

i gotta t-maxx 3.3 & was running it a while ago... and it was running than just wouldn't move.. it revs up but won't move.. checked the slipper clutch & that's good, i know the spur gear is a bit worn down, but it will roll forward when off.. but when i try to roll backwards, feels like something is grabbing.. any idea what is causing this??
