yeah I figured that out and corrected it. I made the washers look how the diagram shows then I tightened the nut. ok so it took off right and I was all excited but 5 seconds into thje run and it just slipped up again

I guess you noticed that those spring washers 'cup' against each other. If you thing you have everything right, and you're still having a problem, I would suggest getting the rebuild kit. Something in your present setup is not right.

hey guys, those dome shaped washers act as the spring, you install them facing each other so that when u tighten the nut they colapse and put tension on the slipper clutch.

I took everything out and put it back together and still no luck, I think Rolex is right I should get a new set.

I'm assuming that my cup washers are just too old and not cupped enough anymore.

When you get the new parts, you'll be able to compare them against the old ones. Then you'll be able to see what went wrong, and what you can save for spares.
Keep us posted.

WoW is all I can say....I figured out the problem w/o comparing anything. I took everything off the transmition and realized that there was a pin missing which held the slipper hub in place on the tranny.

lmao! thanks a ton for all of the help, be sure to look for me in the future xD

And yeah the neighbors aren't exactly fans of it.

Don't just disappear on us. Feel free to hang out and pitch in. This is a great place to hang out on a rainy day, reading jokes and stories in "General Chaos".

Yeap this is like a second home to many of us on here, and you're welcome to join out family. We've got 11,000+ men and 1 girl in our family, so things can get a bit crowded, but you're more than welcome anytime

Excellent! Glad to hear you got it.

(He's off line right now, so I'm sure he's outside disturbing the neighborhood.)

Running my truck and disturbing the neighboorhood is how I met 4 of my neighboors. Luckily for me those 4 neighboors all have nitro trucks, and now we absolutely terrorize the rest of our neighboors...LOL=devil
