Definetley a Maxx of some sort.

If it has front drive bones going to the wheel hubs, then it's a T-Maxx. If it doesn't, then it's a 2wd S-Maxx.

k guys thanks its a T-Maxx then next question it wont shift into second at all stays in first.. Also doesn't a T-Max have reverse mine doesn't

Yea, 3.3 Maxx - someone added the blue shocks on there, and of course, the mill. Have you run it? Or are you looking to sell in instead, to make a few bucks? :)

I'm actually looking into keeping it i have a couple friends that have them i just never got into it... Now looks like i want 2... I have found 4 more blue shocks looks like integy shocks... It is a OS .21 motor... but like i said after yesterday me playing around with it it has stopped shifting into second gear completly

I dis-agree!!!!!
This is a 2.5 maxx...
Notice the black transmission housing.
Also the spur gear is from a 2.5, it looks like it still has the slipper pegs and not the pads.

also this does not have reverse!!!
It has an FOC installed (Forward only Conversion)

Not shifting into 2nd could be 2 things, 1. the engine is not tuned correctly and it can not create enough RPM's to shift into 2nd. Or 2. the shift point is not set correctly.

Did the truck shift into 2nd when you first got it?
If it did then i would say that this is a tuning issue.

Check out Traxxas.com
they have the owners manual on there and tons of extra info.

But it has grey bulks, grey battery box and receiver box. On the 2.5 everything is black. So, it's either a 3.3 with a replaced tranny, or, a 2.5 with new bulks, battery box, receiver box, or it was parts built from parts from several versions.

Incorrect Sir.

I bought a 2.5 New in the box
It has a black tranny housing, but grey Battery box, receiver box, bulk heads. ect.
and grey everything else.
It's a 2.5, i guarantee it.

yeah NCnitro its a 2.5. my stock 2.5 came with black tranny case and grey everything else

Thanks guys

Could it be a S max with 4wd conversion? guys I'm lost haha i have no idea about these cars at all but am very interested into getting into it.. I have raced all my life motocross just another thing i can add. To the question about did it shift before yes it did it just started messing up today...

The older 2.5's came all black. The newer 2.5 Classic comes with the grey bits.

cool, thanks for the info Rob

If it's not shifting it could be running too rich, or you need to adjust the shift point on the tranny. Does it run ok other than the shifting problem?

it's almost certainly a tuning issue.

You need to get a temp gun asap.

also you might try and lean it out 1/8 of a turn. when you make adjustments do it very slowly.
p.s. Right = Lean
Left = Rich

ya the older 2.5s were completely black and had reverse. also the old 2.5s had round body post not square like the new trucks. so what he has is a newer 2.5 with FOC, a bigger engine + pipe, what looks like 4 Integy shocks, and bowtie wheels
