I recently purcased a t-maxx 3.3 rtr model #4908. I'm new to the sport and was wondering if anybody knew if there was a steel center driveshaft availible.Tried lossening the slipper clutch but still keep twisting off the original stock ones. The only ones I can find are for the old model with the opti-drive tranny, none for the new one with the long wheelbase.

called traxxas and they said they don't make them yet for the new model

I had tried ordering them before only to find out they were for the old model with the opti-drive transmision. The model #4908 I have has an extended wheelbase, they're to short and wouldn't fit over the output shafts anyways.

They're twisting of right where the pin for the u joint goes through. I've tried losening the slipper clutch to the point that the truck just whines. Was hoping to find constant velocity driveshafts to solve the problem. If you have any suggestions it would be appreciated.

Sorry, I don't. I was thinking if it was twisting apart in the center then you could put a wood dowel through the hollow part and epoxy it in there. An old trick to make the hollow shafts not twist up on you. But, since it's the yoke itself, there isn't much you can do.

What spur/cb are you running? What wheels/tires?

I ran my revo with a big block XTM24.7 in my revo and only had the rear center shaft come apart on me once in probably 3-4 gallons worth of pretty hard running. The 24.7 has far more torque than the 3.3 does. The only reason mine came apart is because one of the little c clips came off in the joint and the pin worked itself out. I thought the 3.3 maxx and revo ran the same style of axles...
