I have a Nitro Evader ST.
I had an electric one years ago and my brother gave me his nitro one.

My issue is though i can't seem to always get the thing to start or to remain started so I figure it is probably the carb.

I have gone completely over the whole system to check for air leaks and everything and there is none.

So my questions is how do I set the carb up correctly?

Also wondering if anyone has made a drill start for there nitro?
I broke the pull start cable yesterday playing with it.

There is a really good sticky thread regarding nitro tuning on the top of the forums. Tbh the only thing you can alter on the engine to change the mixtures is the carb...
What is the engine manufacturer? You should be able to find the standard carb settings for your engine from the manufacturer.

Also you can get a drill start for most if not all engines. Just need to know what to look for.

Also (not spamming, honest) have you tried changing the glow plug? Try that before changing the carb settings. If a new glow plug and fully charged glow start won't get it to run then start playing with the carb settings.

First thing I do when I have any carb issues at all is return it to factory settings. Look in your owners manual to find out what factory specs are and go from there. Everything effects carb tuning. Temp, altitude, engine temp, etc… Basically, you want to figure out what temperature your truck needs to run at. Usually it will be a range of temps, but you don't really want to run at a higher temperature than what is recommended. You want to return to factory settings, and then tune it from there. Lean it out until it runs well, without going over your max temp.
