i wonder why traxxas does not offer a 1/8 nitro kit?it would be great.i only own traxxas rc's because of the ez of getting parts, and their c.s is second to none.just thought it would be a good seller if they had a mt,truggy, buggy nitro kit.just think 1/8 revo already set up for a lrp .32 i think it would bring traxxas alot of veteran rc builders back to the traxxas brand.seems as though traxxas is trying to get the noobs into the hobby with rtr vs kits that you can build any way you want too.we all where noobs @ 1 time and the rtr are great for getting started in this hobby but what about when your ready to step up and build a kit or race?traxxas does not offer any full blown track ready race vehicles.so i think that the kits would bring alot of rc drivers back to traxxas that go else where for their kits.i was just thinking and wishing as it will prob. never happen.but what are your thoughts on this?good or bad?

TRAXXAS:first_place:

i agree but think of all the extra money that would come from kit sales.any of the top brand kits now after you get them rtr you have about $1,000 in them. i have about $1,300 in my revo but i have 3 differant set-ups for it and i still got about another $600 i want to throw at it.big block conv.this hobby is very fun and addictive.i mean you buy a $600 rc and the day it's pulled from the box you want more or you want to change the factory parts out for what you like the best.so why not make a kit to where the buyer can choose what he/she wants.but once again your right why change a good think i mean traxxas knows you'll spend the $600 for a revo then throw another $600 at it to make it your own.

They're all starting to price themselves out of range for most people especially on the rtrs. Look at the price of a mamba monster erevo...that's insanely priced when u can buy a roller and then buy the mamba monster system and have the same thing.

You also got to remember, most people aren't going to go with traxxas electronics, tires, wheels and hop ups they'll probably go with aftermarket from another brand. So it's less money for traxxas.

i agree some of my friends that are not in the hobby look at me crazy when they ask how much that thing cost?and i tell them bout a grand will get you started.then i tell them fun, smiles, working on it are priceless.and for what a rtr traxxas cost you can go to ebay and buy the roller and all the parts you want to build it with for bout the same price as rtr but you'll have it the way you want it right from the get go.thats why i say i wish traxxas made 1/8 kits.i mean they could compete with the savage x ss.

Unless you're buying used, you're going to come in about the same price once you factor in the $200 in batteries they throw in (granted you can run cheaper packs, no doubt). I've been eyeballing the bigger E Revo since becoming smitten with the MERV, just too pricey for me though.

I am starting a e revo biult soon just starting to collect the parts for it now. I have about 400 invested and that is not including the ESC, motor, wheels or battries. I'm expecting it to run about $1000 when i'm done.

I would like to see a bugggy/truggy platform from traxxas to see if thay can improve on what is out there.

yes but even when you buy that new traxxas whats the first thing you want to do?change tires,electronics,body,ect....
