Good luck in your first race. Keep her in the middle of the lane and most of all, driver courtesy counts.

Practice, Practice, Practice ... can't stress that enough. Get a good feel for the layout so you'll have a good feel during your qualifiyers. Just remember that in the qualifiyers it's you against the clock. Save the racing for the mains.

Have a good time!

Most importantly have fun and be courteous. When I go to a new track or newly configured track I like to run several laps nice and slow to get a feel for the racing line and the flow of the track. Gradually pick up a little speed here and there to start and get a feel for braking points or where you can be on the gas or need to be off the gas. Remember slow is fast! And like Diver said, your qualifiers, whether it's one, two or three are against the clock, trying to race someone will only slow you both down or lead to something else. And be courteous in the pits too, you'd be suprised how many people you'll meet and that are willing to help the noob! It's all about fun man, just relax and have fun, your not racing for money or a 6 figure contract.

Good luck, man! Saturday may be my first racing day as well (so long as Jet doesn't Rex-Kwon-Do me in the parking lot!) Think I finally got my Revo dialed in today! Gotta finish breaking-in the new mill on my RC10GT and I think I'll be ready (as ready as I'll ever be, at least).

Have fun, man!

Good luck man, these men speak wise words.......the biggest thing is to stay off the rails and on all fours, like they said LESS IS MORE(meaning less speed is more laps) when your first starting out.

Hey Monkey, I'm not gonna have to hold the controller for you while you steer am I? LOL It'll be fun, I'm just waiting on one thing now with our schedule at work and I'll know. Right now 95% says we'll be going.

What shock oil do you guys use...

Reason I ask is when i was out today helping build the track for tomorrows race meeting i got a chance to have a burn round the track.. When i brake the front end dips dramtically and if i steer at all then the truck flips or rolls over,

I have 40 weight in the shocks right now but am thinking i need to up the weight of the shock oil to get a firmer suspension ride on the front of the truck..

Cheers Guys

you can also change your shock springs also
