would it be wise to go over the 20 turn motor limit on my on road eleccy, and put a 19t motor in?

its hardly got any strain on it as i have it in 2wd at the moment (removed the propshaft).

thanks (and i only posted it here, because i know i will normally get a quick responce, so dont let me down guys!):)

I have run many esc's at there limit with proper gearing and never had trouble with them.

i had been running it in my eleccy rustler, with a 20turn motor in, and it wasn't getting hot at all.

i just wanted to know before i buy a new motor for it.

lol isnt it best to leave that sorta stuff for msn mate?

If it's the stock esc (xl-1) it's rated for 17 turn motors, with proper gearing it will be fine.

xl-1?

isnt that traxxas?

this is a tamiya, and it has an mtroniks 20turn limit esc on it.

i thought the rustler was traxxas and weren't you trying to kill it by driving it into that lamppost and is there much point putting a better motor in with out upgrading to better tyres on the back or at least put foams in them

the rustler is dead, broke the middle gear.

I've got a tl01 tamiya now, as to why i said on road.:)
