Alright, so I have this netgear router... Its a few years old. Once a week I have to reset it. It's getting annoying. Finally I got the bright idea to take a can of compressed air and spray that sunnabitch out. Seems to be working a little better now.. I'm sure dust was an issue, but it did seem very warm as well. I would imagine that this is common for it to get hot, like most electronics. Do any exist with a built in cooling fan? I dont want to buy a new one, but I thought maybe I could make some kind of cooling fan rig for it, and maybe it would work better. Would it be worth it?

With or without a fan they need to be cleaned, as do most all electronics. Blowing them out with the canned air is the best. Unless of course you would rather take them apart.

Yeah I'd prefer to not take it apart. I've learned the hard way about what dust does to electronics. I suppose I never took it into consideration for the router any that being why it was an issue. I think I'm going to let it ride as it is for now to see if it works well for a while. If I have any more issues I'll spray it again and look into a better way to keep it cool. I'm probably looking for an excuse to go to radioshack

It may be different where you live but here Radioshack is NOT a good place to buy electronics. Their staff has little knowledge of their products and they are usually overpriced.

Then again I also hate most all chain stores.

Newegg is a good online source.

I agree with the ignorance of their employees. Possibly overpriced, I've not been there in a long time. When I go in and get the question "can i help you"
I usually tell them "no, no you can't.. I know what I'm looking for and you wont have a clue"

I used to be a Manager at a Radio Shack. When I was working there they had a strict policy on certifications on store merchandise. Now they hire minimum wage clowns that can't find their back pocket with both hands. So I have to agree with SteelCityNitro.
