Hey all,
Well, its that time of year again. The worst time ever. WINTER.. Its getting colder and soon maybe another month well probebly have snow, so what should i do about ym savage for the winter?
I was thinking around the line of:
after run oil
clean her all up
drain the batteries
Get it off the ground?
Let me know what else you guys do when putting it away for long periods of time
I also have a gallon of nitro gas will that last till next summer?
Thanks all

Well, if your opposed to bashing in the snow and your putting it away for storage, the best thing to do for the chassis is to put it on something so the arms are hanging and tires aren't touching the ground. This will help avoid killing your springs and creating flat spots on your tire foams.

For the engine, just put 5 drops of ARO down the carb, 5 drops down the engine head and turn it over a few times with the glow plug out. Put the glowplug back in, stuff a rolled up paper towel in the carb and exhaust stinger to help keep air from getting in and leaving moisture.

For the fuel, if it's a plastic bottle, just squeeze as much air out of the bottle as you can, and put the cap on tight. It should keep as long as you store it inside somewhere where the temps don't vary much from day to day. Just make sure to shake the gallon like mad next season as the oil/fuel may separate some.

For the receiver pack... I'm not sure what to do there.

Too cold for you in the winter to run? I know around here I get a few weeks near Christmas where it's normally around 20F, then it gets around 0F for a good part of January. I don't run if it's below 20F outside. Too cold for my hands to have any fun.

Waterproof ur servos, put a baby sock on the engines head then got out and break som'!!:D
