You gotta love snow bashing. We have about 3 feet on the ground. That makes for about 5 foot snowbanks. A lot of fun stuff to play on here! Now if it would only warm up just a bit, I can go back out and bash some more!

Cool pics man, but if you didn't break anything, you weren't bashin with ElPirata, lol. Are your servos ballooned or did you just chance it?

Slip Slide away! Nobody got hit ? Camera man? CMON MAN! GET WITH IT! Hurt someone/something.....

-Chris

I lived in Newfoundland for 20 years. It wasn't till I bought a T that I realized, snow happens for bashing.

* Bring extra parts. While snow and racing go together, cold and plastic don't.

Where the servo's ballooned? yep!

chazey,

Good to see you again. Great pics; keep them coming...

That looks like a great set up on the truck. When you find some thing that works, I feel like I need to let everyone know. You should check out prohobbyracing.com This guy has designed a bolt on chassis that allows the use of a bump starter. The chassis and starter box is being reviewed for an aritical in HI-TORQUE R/C CAR MAGAZINE. This makes the max so light, fast and strong. check it out. Dolphin racer

Looks like you had a lot of fun. What are the best balloons to use? I have yet to find some big balloons that I can get over my servos.

-JR

looks good but try that in 3 feet of snow lol it dont work but building jumps from the snowbanks are really cool and launching the truck into the deep snow... fun until they brake.

9 inch PARTY balloons that you buy in bulk from either paper factory or party city. You can feel the heavy good ones from the cheapies. The heavier the better.

:batman:

Diggin the skis! (and the house hehehehe)

Do you disconnect the front drivetrain all together when running that setup? Who made the skis?

The skis are made by Dubro, they are very well made, the steering blocks and skis carriers are made of aluminum.

Yes, I removed the 2 front CVD's, I guess I could disconnect the front center CVD too to reduce wear and tear on the front differential, but I was too lazy to take the tranny out (or take the front assembly out).

I've also tried using 4 paddles in snow also, it works fairly well if snow is packed, on soft snow, all wheels will dig instead of propel the truck.

Brillant on the ski set up!

We've just had another large downfall of snow here in the UK,which has brought parts of the country to a standstill closing major road networks.

Maybe if its still around tomorrow I'll get the Dominator out for a play!

Its snowin here pretty heavy and last time we got about 3 inches of snow i was all hyped up to go run my .21 t-maxx with slicks on the front and paddles on the rear. I go to start it up and get it started up fine then it doesn't move. I check everything including the breaks and stuff and i look at the steering knuckles to find out the mip pin was coming out and was eating away the steering knuckle and causing the rear end to bind and therefore the truck not wanting to go anywhere.
I recently ran my .21 with the jumbomaxx chevrons and i was unhappy with the tires performance. All it wanted to do was dig itself a ditch. And it did that very well!:(
