what shiould you do to water proof you car for winter, and to keep it running in the snow? Please no one say spray your car with wd-40.

use baloons put them around the servos and stuff

USE THE SEARCH FEATURE THERE IS ALOT OF POSTS ABOUT THIS I KNOW I HAD THE SAME QUESTION:hehe: :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

you can put your servos and RX in ballons or dip them in plasti dip i personally dont do anything to water proof mine and have been driving mine in the snow for 2 weeks non-stop and no problems i justmake sure i melt the snow and ice with a hair drier then wipe the truck down with a paper towel and no problems

I would dip the servos and put a ballon around the receiver. When i finish running my cars i spray a little 4O9 and hit it real fast with a pressure washer with no problems.

i havent done my servos with anything for 4 years and i still have the stock ones.

bryan

I havent done anything to my servos or reciever either and I run through water and mud alot. New construction behind me and thats all there is. Dont get me wrong I dont run it through like real deep water but puddles. Still work like a top, guess I am just lucky like SuperMaxx97.

use wd- 40 just kidding your servos shouldbe ok unless there submerged for like 5 min but no matter how lucky you are you need to water proof you reciever just a drop A DROP!! could fry your 30 - 90 dollar rx. just use a ballon its realy easy!!

ok i have been using a bollon on the reciver, but i have had some supicus be haver. Like the servos will sometimes shuter or respond late or act slow and it isn't the baeries be cause i do cheeck them they work fine in the beging. These symptomes do go away, but return some times.

Her a question was anyone ablee to make a flap of some sort to prevent or reduce slushy buid up?

Not that I've seen or heard of. But it sounds like u need to change your servos before they stop responding and ur truck takes-off on you.

I've had the same servo twitchyness. I don't know why either.

Mine are waterproofed. I used sensor save silicone on all the seams and put ballons over them with zipties and silicone to seal the ends. Also, did the same the reciever and my battery packs.

I've taken every thing apart to look for water, but there isn't any. I cleaned all the contacts with emry and q-tip with alchohol. Then i resealed everything up.

I haven't run it since due to it being to damn cold out. Maybe tomorrow. It's supposed to get to 28 degrees.

I'm running a JR Racing Xr2 AM transmitter with the JR Racing 125 receiver. I run the same receiver in my xxx-nt and use the remote for both trucks. I don't have glitching on the xxx-nt, which makes me think its something on the maxx.

I've tried swapping receivers and it still does it. I've tried swapping crystals and it still does it.

I was thinking of going FM. I've read that they are much less susceptable to glitching. But i don't have the money right now.

Guess i'll have to live with it.

I have also had the twitchy servo problem and got bad enough where the truck just took off but turns out it was the crystals that had gone bad

is it possible it is just the cold. i mean it only happens when i run it in the snow or cold.

It appears to happen in the cold, but also on high humidity days. I've already waterproofed everything and re-checked and re-waterproofed... who knows. God hates me i guess.
