need to know if i can make this engine work on my 2.5 maxx
i know it is side exhaust i can make te header and pipe work ,but can itrim the crank down to fit the traxxas flywheel colet and clutch assembly ??

Yes, you can make it work. You will need a side exhaust header and pipe. You can cut the crank with no problem, just thread a cut nut on to the crank,cut it off with a dremel, and removing the cut nut will clean up the threads. However I believe that OS makes a short shaft version for the maxx already that would not require any cutting.

yeah they do but it is non pullstart
so i dont mind cutting the crank as long as it will work, and i really dont feel like dumping 2 bills for the tm right now

They do make the .18 cvr-x with pullstart and short shaft.. The only difference is it's a rotary carb.

No problem, just curious as I ran a side exhaust engine in my 2.5 maxx. It required a side exhast manifold and pipe.

luckily my brother works for my lhs and got me a real good deal ,
and yeah i bought the traxxas side header and i am going ot run my traxxas blue pipe for now

why not get the engine you want for the electric start, the pull start from traxxas should bolt straight onto it as it does with the trx2.5

this engine i can use the ez-start and thast what i am going to use ,
but without the blue igniter wire i have a glo starter

also i was reading the link in misbehavins site and it walks you right thru everything pretty cool actually
