So I smoked my primary clutch and replaced it with a 3 shoe clutch now my slipper clutch won't hold as well as I'd like. I can't find anything that says specifically that it works with the 3.3 t-maxx so has anyone tried this clutch or know of a better replacement for a 3.3? (model 4908) http://www.rcplanet.com/Robinson_Racing_Disc_Slipper_Kit_Steel_65T_Traxxas_p/rrp8465.htm Just for the record I've tried tightening my stock clutch with little improvement.

If you have a revo style slipper (3 pads, .8M spur) then that won't work for you. The revo style slipper is one of the best setups out there IMHO.

If you have the older style slipper that uses little pegs and a larger 32P spur (72 teeth stock), then yes, that slipper setup will work.

Old 32P Spur: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJG45&P=ML

I believe you have the newer style though as this is what tower lists as the spur for the 4908:

So, it won't work for you.

RRP does make a steel spur for that rig though:

Comes with a slipper pad... not sure really how that works with the revo style slipper since it has 3 pads on it.

It is the revo style slipper. I'm not doubting its a good clutch it could very well be something i'm doing. How do you recommend adjusting it for a base line? I want it to be on the aggresive side without damaging anything. What would get damaged if it was too tight?
