Okay, I sent my Steering servo fof to JR to get it fixed and wanna bash this weekend. I need to know if a Hitec Hi-Torque servo will work in its place. I mean is it bad to put a Hi-Torque in for a throttle servo, could it hurt anything?

K that s cool. Are they doing the work for free too? As far as which type.. depends on the car or truck it will be going in. Truck, go with a High torque. Touring car, go with a high speed servo.

Yeah they are doing the work for free. No see my cousin has a Hi Torque servo laying around and said I could use it for the weekend since my servo is n the mail. Is it okay to use a high torque servo for a throttle servo is my question.

Go ahead and throw it in. You will probably love the braking capabilities with it in.

SET YOUR ENDPOINTS! If you dont, a high torque servo, depending on strength, can damage carbs, mounts, linkages and in some cases, chassis. Then again, the servo you had on there probably could have done damage too if not setup properly.

I ran the hitec 645mg on my throttle/brake for awhile on my maxx. I ended up with it on the steering and a hitech 625mg on the throttle/brake.

The 645 just causes endo's all the time. Other than that, it worked well.
