Will the savage XL engine (K5.9) fit into a normal size savage?

yesp a chevy small block, and although the weight is a slight bit more, the power to weight ratio seems to be about the same since the small black is capable of pushing 350 HP with very few mods, 600 to 800 with some internal work. I imagine the nine inch rear end would have to be narrowed quite a bit to fit the Savage, and some minor gearing changes would necessary.

ha ha ha. We get 950HP out of our chevy big blocks in our sprint cars. No but really is there? I know the CEN genesis has a .46. I have an aluminum savage and the Axial .32 isnt giving me enough power.

Check out the new MGT 8.0, I don't know how much power is claimed but it is the largest displacement I've seen.
