i have a 15t/52t and iam throwing in a picco .26 can i pull wheelies??

I can't stop pulling wheelies with mine. I am having a little tuning problem with it right now. it will fill flip on its lid if i hit 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. it screams down the street at 3/4 but if i go full it boogs down and stutters just need to tune more I think its to rich i'm running the same gears as those.

I noticed on my new engine, not a picco, but it's an Omega 21, that once I hit a gallon, it's easier to tune. Mine was real blubbery in the mid range. Once I richened the bottom about 3 hours and leaned the top about 1-2, it pretty much cleared up. But until I hit a gallon, it didn't matter what I did.

New 25

I have a new Savage 25 and I can't imagine a new engine this thing just flat gets it! I am just passed break in and I've leaned it out a little. I'm on my second body a metallic blue Excursion its sweet did it myself. How do I post s picture of this?:hump:

You have to upload it into your gallery, but it can't be real big. 600x600ppi is a good size.

Once you do that, go to the pic, right click and click copy image location.

Then, you take what you copied and paste it in a thread with image markers

Take out the periods in the [i.m.g] and the [./.i.m.g]

If I didn't put the periods in those, it would have attempted to link to a pic thats called https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/gallery/data/500/1493T-Maxx-BodyOn-FlamesBodyTopRear01-med.jpg

Like I've said before, wheelies are fun for about 15 minutes as you can't control a car that has the front wheels off the ground. I like to keep my power on the ground.

It should wheelie that Savage though depnding on shock setup ect. I would definitley follow EP's advice and get stiffer springs so you can keep that power on the ground where it's usefull.

Have Fun bro

Must be why My SS won't do wheelies yet - stiffer purple springs are standard. I haven't had much fuel through it yet anyway. A .21 or larger isn't broken in until you've ran a gallon through it. :D

The SS having a 2 shoe clutch is probably why It won't wheelie.

My SS didn't wheelie until I installed the Envy 3 shoe clutch. It's geared 15/49.

Since then I have performed the break-in for two RTR 25's for my buddies and after proper tuning they wheelie like crazy.

I don't understand why HPI didn't include a 3 shoe with the SS.

Maybe trying to create a market for their 3 shoe?

I think I answered my own question.

no wonder my car would not wheelie, i got a .21 with a 2 clutch, soon will be a picco .26 with a 3 cluch hooked up!!!!!

OH c'mon it doesn't take a three shoe clutch to make it wheelie. I installed a standard 2 shoe clutch on my picco when I brought it home. The cooling head is now wearing some permanent road scars. A three shoe clutch may give just a little more bite or something like that but it is not mandatory to do wheelies. Besides guys wheelies are only cool for about five seconds than your lid gets trashed.

How old are you pissant?

My Savage 25 wouldnt wheelie until I was through 3/4 of a gallon or my tuning was dead on. Now it will walk them no problem.

Wheelies are fun if you can control them. I was walking them today and it was a ton of fun. Jumping, thrashing and wheelies.

Wheelies are fun on the street too.

Mine does, and I am using the same purple springs.

Mine would not wheelie with the two shoe, not that I want it to, but once I added the HPI three shoe clutch it now does.

NC honestly I was running 14/52 gearing with my picco and well I had the stock 2 shoe type clutch in it and it did perfectly. Again have the scratches on the head to prove it. LOL

You got me wrong NNF, I don't doubt the Picco will with a two shoe, but the S-25 needed the three shoe to wheelie. My S-25 never even tried with the two shoe, but once I added the three shoe it wants to all the time now.

Wheelies look ace but they tend to affect the way your truck steers unless your in reverse. Give it some power but keep the wheels on the ground just until that big air pops up.
