Anyone tried Wildcat Eliminator 16% fuel? Did you have any luck or problems with it? My LHS has some for $12 bucks a gallon so I was just wondering since I'm a cheap skate and was thinking of trying it.

IMO 16% is not enough nitro for todays mills. What is the oil content of it?

Make sure it is for cars. Sounds like it is aircraft fuel.

I think pretty much all nitro surface rides recommend 20 Percent Nitro. Going any lower risk damage to the engine.

I've used Wildcat, but in my planes.

I spend about $15 for aircraft fuel and $25 for cars.

It says right on the bottle "Car Race Fuel". It has a 14% oil blend. How can being low on nitro cause damage to an engine? Also, what is the differnece in car fuel and plane fuel besides the oil content? They are all a xx% of Nitro, xx% oil and the rest is methanol. Thanks for the replies.

The lower nitro content will make your mill run hotter...Combined with the high oil content..Will make it run really rich..= you have to lean it out more to get it top run right.Witch means hotter temps.

Higher nitro = lower temps
Lower nitro = higher temps

20%with around 12% oil is good
30%with around 8 to 10% is even better.

Now granted with the higher Nitro 30% you will get a little less life out of the mill...But the plus side is IMO easier to tune.

14% oil in a "race" blend is unheard of, thats almost a break in fuel right there.

I wish wildcat made a 30% nitro with 10% oil, but they wont. I've already talked to the owner. Thinks he knows it all.

big no no for any wild cat fuel.....motor will overheat, i tried on traxxas 2.5//savage s25//picco .28//xtm 24.7 all overheat. But, perfect temp from top fuel...

Well the cheap skate in me won out! I bought some of the fuel and have run 4 tanks so far. Had to do some minor retuning and it was loading up if I didn't run it hard all the time. Switched to a hot glow plug and now runs great! Temp is a little hot but no more than it was with MHP 20%.

Higher nitro = lower temps

I'm not quite sure how this is true, the nitro is the most volitile substance in the fuel and the methanol is the cooling substance since it burns so much colder. With more nitro you have less methanol and visa-versa. So if you tune by temperature, how can less nitro be higher temp? Unless you are leaning it out more to get the extra power that you are losing by taking away nitro. If 30% with lower oil is better and more nitro gives you less temperature, why does the engine life shorten?

I wish wildcat made a 30% nitro with 10% oil, but they wont

There are other fuels with this combination, why do you wish Wildcat made one?
