Ok so I'm looking into getting another MT, so I'm going through amain and notice that there aren't a whole lot of losi xxl parts on their website....almost no parts?. Is it worth buying one if I can't get parts/mods?...I like it for the transmitter also.:D

I just want something with as much aftermarket support like the savage.

Any suggestion gents. Other than t-maxx/revo....not that I don't like!, my sister in-law(brothers wife) has a baby brother, he has a revo 3.3 and t-maxx 3.3? and with some persuasion from my good friend Sir Robert L bordon I think they can be mine.

So if you guy have and ideas to sway my judgement feel free!
Just remember its going to share playtime with my savages (25, X, XL, and FLM)
and I'm hoping for something similar in ruggedness.
 
Because there isn't a "new" platform there really aren't too many new choices and therefore parts are harder to come by for some of the older rigs. IMO - I would look at building a custom BB Maxx or Revo to your specs. I'm sure you figured out already that the Savages you have are probably the best MT's on the market. If you are trying to find something more durable your probably not gonna find it unless you go custom built.
 
The XXL doesn't have much aftermarket support but it's still a great truck that doesn't require much to be a great basher. If you're looking for a truck that has a ton of aftermarket parts available, don't get the XXL. If you're looking for a great handling MT that can take some abuse and with a couple upgrades can handle serious abuse, the XXL is a great choice. It is also extremely easy to work on, Losi stuck to their racing roots when they made the LST platform, everything is laid out nicely and you have plenty of working room.
 
There are a lot if parts listed under lst2 or aftershock. You have to know whats interchangable with the xxl.
 
So the LST, LST2, XXL, and the Aftershock are all kinda the same machine?....if anyone knows how many parts are interchangeable?
 
Some parts vary between the aftershock/LST and the LST2, but everything between the lst2 and the xxl are interchangeable.

And your right you can't fix stupid with duct tape....but you sure as hell can make sure stupid isn't going anywhere!....and most times thats what's needed.
 
^^^ Haha. 6s is referring to the number of cells in a lipo battery. The rival can only handle up to a 4 cell lipo.

6s = 6cell lipo battery with each cell at 3.7 it comes to 22.2v

Savage the best on the market LOL! Not sure about that prob the toughest but if you that slow its hard to break something.

Now I've just found something very interesting! I can't help but wonder if I can have a maxx chassis like this, with functional 4x4

I've never owned 1 but 80% of the owners on here will tell you they are more durable and take a more severe beating than any other MT on the market. theres a reason every hobbyshop stocks Tmaxx parts vs Savage parts. People always break the Maxx (Myself included) vs I never hear to many people talk about having to rebuild or replace parts on the Savage
