Okay so I had planned today to drive my t-maxx but when I went to start it wouldn't start. It rolled over perfectly and both lights were lite up on my starting wand; but it just wouldn't fire. So I took the gp out to see if it was lighting and it was so I put it back in, and tried it again but still nothing. It did flood once. With all this work I never got one fire just the sound of the engine rolling over. Something that might help you figure out what the problem is I did tear it apart but before I did, I did an after run. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.:\

I don't have a sepreate ignigtor but what my dad told me was when you took the head off it might have a leak or something so I am going to try and seal it.

it's not a big deal about taking head off, just retune engine to factory setting (break in settings) and pour some new fuel and worm up the engine with hair drier and when engine will reach it's normal running temp try to start it.

hold your finger over the exhuast port for a few seconds with the engine turning over to make sure you are getting fuel. Feather the throttle while you are doing this. then pull your finger off and it should start to catch.

When you are trying to start it give the it a little throttle while its turning over. That helps me start my truck all the time.

I was doing all of those things the giving it throttle and holding my finger over the exhaust and it never seemed to fire.

Yes I have and its brand new. T-maxx 3.3 I had that same problem and it was my ez-start.

Being new does not mean it can't already be damaged. Remove the plug, connect the blue wire, hold it's base firmly against the cooling head and press the button on the starter. Does it glow brightly?

Yes it does, tonight I will try to get it started after my golf practice I will post to let you all know how it went.

Okay so I have got it running and when it finally started it ripped, I mean it ripped like we have burn out marks in out lawn.(yoopes) I was jumping it and everything I did a lot of crashing and it held up so I must have put it back together correctly. So I do have a couple questions though, about every 4 or 5 minutes it would begin to start idleing down and then I would let off the gas for about 8 or 9 seconds and it would die. I would go to start it and vrrrrrm it fired rite back to life. What tuning issue is that? My other question is at the begining of my throtle presure it was kind of bogging down not much just a little. Then about half way through the acceleration it would just pick up in speed like almost pull the front tires off the ground. How can I adjust that? A little more help that might help my lsn is set to where the engine idles up and then dies. Oh just a quick question what is prime running temp. on the engine? Thanks for all your help guys and gals in advance.

Your darn close, now. Running temp=250-270. Make sure the throttle slide stays open 1-2 mm when you apply the breaks. As far as the bog, that's gonna take some real fine tuning to get rid of. Start with the hsn. Use the hour method(turn by 1/12). Hsn may be a bit lean. Adjust one needle at a time. Run it for a couple min between adjusts. MAKE SMALL ADJUSTMENTS! If it gets worse, go the other way. Let us know.

The LSN sounds a tad rich if it is bogging slightly, and to correct the stalling problem just increase the idle screw by 1/8 turn.

Okay guys thanks I will do that next time I run it which will probably be around thursday because thats when my dad is supposed to be getting his nitro evader=):D
