By now I'm sure you've noticed the pink ribbon at the top of every page and in case you didn't know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, BCAM is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection.

I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the 2010 Komen Lexington Race for the Cure on 10/16/2010 in the fight against breast cancer. One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Susan G. Komen for the Cure can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs and support the national search for a cure.

If you love boobies, then visit my Susan G. Komen page and pledge your support. :D

Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in the Race or contributing generously to the 2010 Komen Lexington Race for the Cure.

i love boobies, therefor i love saving them. thanks for the hard work woodie, the ribbon is great!

I've lost a couple of friends to breast cancer, one who died of it less than a year after her mother died of the same thing. She left a 9 year old daughter, and hopefully there will be a cure before she grows up.

I'm fully in favor of supporting anything that seeks to cure ALL types of cancer.

I've know two women, a friend I grew up with and the other my mother-in-law both of whom have had one or both of their breast removed and replaced with implants due to breast cancer. Kinda scary really.

I've know plenty other people, friends and family alike that have also had/has other types of cancer so I agree with you fully Rolex, anything to help support of fight against cancer has my support.

Like I always say, Ladies, check yourself, or better yet, let your significant other check you, and you can both be happy with the outcome!

I've been giving free breast exams for many years, but I can't get to all of them, so PLEASE, click WoodiE's link above and give a donation to a VERY valid charity.
Hopefully, when your children are grown, cancer will be something people USED to get.

When you first added the ribbon I showed my wife, and she thought that was great you added it. her mom is a breast cancer survivor. Unfortunately though, a good friend of ours was taken by the disease just last year. She was 38 and had three kids, 4, 8, 11, two are daughters that will now grow up with no mom. Her son is one of my sons best friends, so for the entire month he wears pink wristbands during his football games in honor of her and his grandmother. I think this is great you are doing this Mike, I'm sure my wife will too.

I was adopted by my grandparents and lost them both to cancer. Cancer is the one thing I wouldn't wish on my worse enemies. It's frustrating that we can put a man on the moon but no find a cure. But we will some day.

I just lost an uncle to caner last month...the pink ribbon is a nice tough I knew what it was already though. Hooray for Boobies!

Very good cause. I've lost people I've been very close to-to cancer and its horrible.
