Why OS Max is a God.

Now - as we all know, OS makes some pretty darn good engines, but there are alot of competetors out there that do as well. Not in my opinion. As far as i am concerned, the only engine on the market is an OS. Lets do a recap of the past 12 months.

OPS .15 - This engine produced alot of top end, but couldnt get out of its own way at idle. not only that, but the damn thing ran hot as hell. nothing could be done to get the temp below 280.
Duratrash Velocity .15 - This shouldnt be included in a Cracker Jacks box as a prize its such junk. This engine never ran right. Ever. It ran hot, was a dog, never stayed in tune. Pure crap.
Rossi .12 Pixie Roar - This was supposed to be the best small block on the planet. It carried a huge price tag along with it. Again, this is officially the worse engine i have ever owned. The thing was a nightmare! There were days when it wouldnt start all day, no matter what i did, then run just fine. It would stall in the middle of a race and not restart, the tuning was more fickle than the anal retentive chef on SNL. It was fast, but no way was it putting out the HP numbers trinity suggested.
Then we get to the OS Max mills.....
OS .21RG - This engine was actually cheaper than most .12's - i paid a whopping 110.00 for it. It never ran hotter than 220. It started ever time, and produced plenty of power to have fun with.
OS .15 CV-R - Again, this engine broke in fine, has almost 2 gallons of fuel through it now, and is still on the original glow plug. It is blazing fast, faster than my Rossi was, and has been tuned once. Thats it, it has held that tune ever since. The thing is a tank and has won me many races.
OS .21RZVO1B - This engine is like an angel. It parts the skies wherever it goes. Not only is it lightening fast, faster than anything i have ever seen, but it starts everytime on the first turn of the starter box, and will run an entire tank at idle. best engine i have ever owned

bottom line? I will never ever buy any other engine besides an OS for the rest of my hobby experience.

I have to agree. While I have only owned 3 nitro RC's and only one of them has an OS engine it always starts right up. I would still like to give a Fantom engine a chance down the road.

My hyper 8-port is pretty damn reliable. As those of you saw at the bash, I can start it on the first pull of the pull start. The only time it flames out is when it runs out of gas.

Than again, I guess I should mention that I run an OS carb on it. :whistle:

Your hyper 8 was very impressive. I hope mine starts up like that after I finish breaking it in. I should have my OS carb today.

again - as much as the other engines are good - they all seem to be almost as good as an os. or as good after u do some mods to them. u noticed that kwong says he likes his S3, but it over heats. RobH likes his 8port, but he had to put on another carb. with the OS engines, their are no buts. Simply put, they are the best engines on the planet. period.

O.S.'s are great but don't you think you would be robbing yourself of a better experience trying other makes models of engines? Like I probably feel the same way about Sirio as you do O.S. but I still want to buy RB's Rossi's and O.S.'s Just my take.

I have not modded my Sirio's in any way and after I broke them in they give me no trouble.

I have tried other makes and manufacturers - and have not had the kind of performance that i have had with OS. Besides - i live by the notion of "if it aint broke, dont fix it". If i have perfect happiness with what i have now, why whould i choose anything else?

O.S. is the poop I now have my 2nd os, a TR.12 this thing is tiny compared to my rg. They are the best I’ve used. The picco .26 is fast but not to reliable or should I mine was not too many carb problems. If I could put an os carb on it I would have one hell of an engine.

once again - u are not paying attention, blazer. Did i say i owned a sirio? no. Did i say i owned an RB? no. I said i have owned"other engines". And i did not like either of them as much as my OS's. I have also spent alot of time helping friends with other various engines, such as the hyper 8, the MT12, the 2.5 and others. In my opinion i found that those other mills that i have tried were not as good as the OS models. If at this time, the OS engines provide more than i could ever ask for, why on earth would i try something different? Only when something is lacking, do i try another route. Although my storm pro was a great buggy, i didnt use it that much cause for some reason i didnt like the way it performed certain things. This new EB-4 is much better for me, and i will now recommend it over the storm. u will read more about this in my EB-4 thread later today.

just pointing out that unless i find something is not satisfactory to me, i am never going to change. The storm was just an example that i am not hard headed and will try new things if i desire.
