I think it was down when i tried it earlier. It works now!!

Ok, I ordered a new servo (Hitec 645) and a Kimbrough Servo Saver.
I went to only battery packs, and now I have too many options!!

Would you guys recommend the 1100nimh or the 2300???
Also, would you go with the battery for the stock batt. box, the front shock tower, or the batt. box replacement??

If I get the shock tower batt., how do i switch it?? do i have to unplug it to cut it off??

thanks.

Where ever they fit.

Where you see a hose clamp wrapped around a black thing, that's the battery pack. I made 5 cell packs out of 2200Mah NiMH AA's.

Ahh.. That's the kind of rough abused stuff I like to see, no shelf queens here. Keep up the good work! :w00t:

I got the 1200mah from only battery packs on e-bay for like $18. It is the one that fits in the stock bat box and I put in a connector so I could switch from rechargeable to regular alkies if I needed to. It works great and I can tell that I have a lot more punch with the higher voltage. Being able to quickly go back to regulars is nice though for that last tank of the day.

4 cells does not give you the same power as that of a 5 cell one.

5 cells = 6V

4 cells - 4.8V

Servoes work better at 6 V

Thats good to know I think I need to start saving my pennys and get a pack also a good reason for a battery pack is you can make sure you always have a good battery and you wont have a runaway that sucks lmao I know from experiance hehe

I have a 2700mah hump pack from onlybatterypacks.com, and it just bolts right in place of the stock battery box.

.21rc10gt,
did you get the one that comes with the switch?
there are 2 of them. One of them had LEDs for charging and battery life purposes.
Is this the one that you have?? Do the LEDs help??

thanks,
adrian

I have the one without the LEDs... so i dont know. I need to get one with LEDs, because it is just more user friendly.
