Low diff oil, diff not being shimmed right, poor mesh between the spur and CB/pinion, loose screws, loose slipper, missing loctite......all of those are common things found on new RTR trucks.

These are the shims to push the bearings out on the diff itself:

It's easiest to tear the diffs completely apart, clean out all the grease, screw the ring gear with gasket back on the cup (without the axles sticking out), then apply shims behind the bearing on the ring gear until the mesh between the pinion/ring has as little play as possible without binding. This is much easier to do without the axles on because it's trial and error with the quantity of shims.
Once you get the shims figured out, then pull the cup back apart, put the gears/axles back on, fill it up with your preference of diff oil and put it back together. Then put a bit of grease on the ring/pinion gears.

You need to take apart your truck you should have instructions on how to do it if not there are plenty online it really is not very difficult for instance my mgt 8.0 only had grease in the diffs I cleaned out the grease and put a heavy weight diff oil in both diffs it would not have lasted long with grease in the diffs.
