Who makes the best sounding pipe for the 4.6? I like them loud! :D who wins this comp? :first_place:
 
The Team Rolex pipe is the absolute loudest pipe on the market. It's so deafeningly loud that you won't be able to hear it. It also adds lots of bling, great for a shelf queen.
 
The loudest pipe I have ever heard on a Savage was the HPI ribbed pipe.
 
Truck won't run without a pipe for very long because of the pressure line that is used from the pipe to the fuel tank.

not to mention the unburnt air/fuel in the exhaust the pipe actually pushes back in the engine.
 
Well... there's a POS ACE outlaw pipe on ebay that will make a little OS18 sound just as loud as an axial 28 running the HPI ribbed pipe... it's a piece of crap though. Gives you horrible power, tune and makes the engine run really hot. Pretty much like running a straight pipe.

I tried the outlaw pipe because I got it in a trade with a truck and wanted to see what it sounded like... I had ringing in my ears for about half a day after half a tank and my engine spiked up to 270 within a couple minutes just barely above idling.

The ribbed pipe is silly loud. The stock composite pipe from the old savage was pretty friggen loud as well, but I think the ribbed has it beat.
 
Thanks for the help guys! Any of you have any experience with the dual exhaust kits? Louder or pretty quiet?

Nice truck!!! Sorry dunno anything about those dual pipes. I got ribbed tuned pipe on both of my savage, and ya its LOUD!!!

The RDLogics dual real are so loud it hurts your ears when you start it. Not the deep tone that some claim. They look cool and some like the performance and some hate it. I can claim to either side of the fence other than it is very loud.

Louder than my JP-3 of my truggy.
