I've been hearing a lot about large wheels and I like the idea, but how large are you guys talking about? I figure we could fit wheel double the size of sock. It accured to me that It may be hard to push such big wheels but If the gearing is set for max acceleration it shouldnt have a problem right?

I'd like to see some pictures of anyone who has oversize wheels.
thanks

This is as big as they get, Imex Jumbo Kongs 8.5” tall and 4.75” wide. They are also available as Swamp Kongs, same size different thread.

I haven't seen anyone here running anything bigger than 40's. I have some Moab 40's, they are

Outer Diameter: 6.9"
Inner Diameter: 3.6"
Width: 3.9"

The biggest I have ever run were 40 series Bowties. I have heard of the jumbo kongs... but have yet to see anybody running them.

I curently run 40 series bow ties on my revo for the track. They seem to hook up better than my response. The Jumbo Kong are the biggest tires out but i shure wouldnt run them, they would rob all your power.

real cool, I'm still new to all this but what I've noticed is I more spin then I get grip. Looks like big is the way to go for bashing.
thanks keep posting pics

That's one of the few times I've seen large rims/tires on a truck and they don't look stupid! That LST makes them look very natural.

Seeing those on a revo looks off to me. Especially knowing the stress/strain they are putting on the bearings and arms. I actually run smaller than stock. I run stock t-maxx wheels/tires. And it's a 3.3 chassis. It looks very proportional and handles really well.

What type of surface are you running on? For grip I think the bowties are great! Just because they are big doesn't mean more traction, the Moabs on the LST spin like crazy, so do the big joes. I ran Maxx size bowties on Maxx size wheels with 23mm hex and they had excellent traction. IMO most of the pin type treads offer good traction.

I like the way they look but traction sucks! I'm looking at either Mashers or bowties in the 40 series for it.

For sure not the biggest.

Revo,

That baby is lookin reeaaaaaalllllly sweet! I would be afraid to drive it.....LMAO. I have had 2 great days of bashing. yesterday was the first to not require some repairs.....

Hawk...

Thanks! It actually drives like any other truck, just maybe a bit faster around the corners... with the offset.
Had it out on the airport last evening and it goes well.
I can now proudly say that I'm "unable" to flip it...
I surely has some nice bling in the sun though :o)))

Almost forgot to mention the Stainless Steel Screws on every visible attachment. FAAAAST Eddy was there :)
