ok i need a 1 mm gap, but which way do i need to turn it to make it bigger, clockwise or counter? :shrug:
 
oh yea, sry, yes thats what i mean, i have been out of the hobby for almost a year :fro:

LOL Turn it clockwise to increase the idle counter to decrease it!
 
Its best to do this with the filter off so you can see it actually happen. VIsuals alwyas work in this case.

Also best to do this with the power to the servos switched off and the throttle slightly open, otherwise you may damage the end of the idle stop.

I would think that you would need the power on, thats how you see the gap increase... what else is the screw for? You adjust the idle with the radio on while you're running it, so why would this be different? Thats kinda like saying stopping at stop signs are a strain on your brakes... :hammer:
