Well I've gotten tired of seeing my T-Maxx just sitting there collecting dust so I've decided to revive it. I'm gonna put the TRX 3.3 with ezstart in it but I'm not sure which one to get. I'm seeing two versions for the recoil style... an IPS shaft and a multi-shaft. Which one do I need for a standard chassis T-Maxx?

For a direct replacement, use a IPS (integrated pilot shaft) Or else you'll have to buy a seperate pilot shaft.

actually, If you check Tower there are 4 different versions of the TRX 3.3.

- IPS with p/s (upgradable to ez-start)
- multi-shaft with p/s (upgradable to ez-start)
- IPS for bump start
- multi-shaft for bump start

What's the diff between IPS and multi shaft? Isn't an IPS just a pilot shaft and the multi a threaded shaft? I never understood their IPS gimmick... To me it was just a pilot shaft like most 21's.
